Day 1: Leaving your country to Italy
Day 2: Arrival to Rome Fiumicino Airport and transfer to your hotel
Arrival at Rome Fiumicino Airport and private transfer to a boutique hotel in the heart of Rome where you will be staying for 2-nights. Enjoy a welcome cocktail and a delicious dinner at the hotel. Welcome to our Dolce Terra!! Overnight stay in Rome.
Day 3: Rome Food Walking Tour & Cooking Class
Today you will enjoy a cooking class in a fabulous 17th century palace located behind Piazza Navona. The class will start with a market visit to Campo de’ Fiori choosing fresh fruit and vegetables and soaking up the atmosphere of a legendary Roman market! Then you will be welcomed to the cooking school with a glass of prosecco and some delicious antipasti. Your English speaking chef will teach you how to make fresh pasta, gelato, irresistible pizza and more! Overnight stay in Rome.
Day 4: Visit a pasta factory in Gragnano & a Limocello producer in Sorrento
En route to the Sorrento Peninsula we will stop to visit a pasta factory in Gragnano to discover the secrets and history of the real Italian pasta. The ancient town of Gragnano is hidden between the sea and the mountains of Campania, and head to one of the oldest pasta factories in the world. We will see how the most popular variety of pasta is prepared with durum wheat following old recipes passed down through generations.
Our day will continue with a unique visit to one of the most important Limoncello producer of the peninsula. We will tour a wonderful lemon grove garden and enjoy a fantastic tasting of Limoncello, Limoncello cream and Orangecello. Cheers! Salute! Tonight pizza party in Sorrento. Overnight stay in Sorrento.
Day 5: Tour the Amalfi Drive with Positano
Today we will discover the Amalfi Drive. This famous coast road is said to be the most spectacular in Europe.
From Sorrento, the winding cliff top road offers breathtaking panoramic views at every bend. We will make a stop in Positano yet another splendid jewel of this coastline, which boasts picturesque pink and white villas perched dramatically on the steep hillside. Our day will continue with the charming Amalfi and wonderful Ravello with Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone. Tonight typical dinner in a Normand Tower. Overnight stay in Sorrento.
Day 6: Visit Paestum, a mozzarella producer, Matera & Castel del Monte
After breakfast at the hotel check-out and depart Sorrento to Puglia. En route we will visit the ancient town of Magna Graecia, famous for the temples, the excavations, the museum, the polis of Poseidon – Neptune: Pestum. After the tour we will reach a famous mozzarella di bufala producer where we will discover the secrest of this delicacy and enjoy a delicious tasting.
Our day will continue with a visit to Matera a UNESCO heritage sites, described as the most outstanding, intact example of a troglodyte settlement in the Mediterranean region, perfectly adapted to its terrain and ecosystem. Then we will discover the famous Castel del Monte. Built directly on a rocky bank, in some places cropping out, the castle is well known for its octagonal shape. Overnight stay in Trani.
Day 7: Disover Alberobello, Locorotondo & Martina Franca
After breakfast leave Trani to Martinafranca. Today visit Alberobello another UNESCO heritage site known for its stonehouses with conical roofes called trulli. Your day will continue with a tour of Locorotondo. Maybe not as famous as Alberobello, it is considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. In the afternoon we will spend some tine in Martinafranca with its beautiful balconies and baroque buildings and churches. Overnight stay in Martinafranca.
Day 8: Discover Ostuni, an olive-oil producer
After check-out we will depart Martinafranca to Lecce. We will visit the charming town of Ostuni, also called “the white city” because of its whitewashed houses. We will also visit Messapica, a food lover’s dream, a real “temple” of Puglia’s culinary delights. In the afternoon we will visit an olive oil producer for an exclusive tasting then continue to Lecce. Overnight stay in Lecce.
Day 9: Discover Lecce
After breakfast we will stroll through the streets of Lecce. Called the “Florence of the South”, the city is so rich in architectural beauty. We will visit the Amphitheater, the Roman Theater, the Duomo and the Castle.
In the afternoon we will discover Otranto, with its cathedral with beautiful mosaic floors and the Aragonese Castle. Tonight farewell dinner in a wonderful location. Overnight stay in Lecce.
Day 10: Departure
After breakfast put in your luggage all the wonderful memories of this Amazing Italian Holiday,
then enjoy the last hours in Lecce. Your private driver will pick you up at the hotel in time for your departure flight from Brindisi Airport. ARRIVEDERCI!!!
